Aaron Shocket, President

A true entrepreneur at heart, Aaron Shocket began his career mowing grass for his neighbors, acting as a safety director for the local pool, and as a summer camp counselor. While attending Ohio State University in 1991, Mr. Shocket started Parking Solutions, Inc., a valet parking service company out of his basement. After graduating with a BA in Political Science, he turned his focus to growing his business.

Business Today featured Mr. Shocket as one of Columbus’s successful young entrepreneurs in its premier issue in May of 1993. Since that time, growth has been steady and significant with average annual growth rates exceeding 25%. He has added two regional Parking Solutions companies operated from Charlotte, North Carolina and San Francisco, California, as well as three property management companies operated here in Columbus.

Parking has branched from valet services into lot and garage management, consulting, and shuttle bus services. Parking Solutions currently encompasses 4 states and employs a workforce of over 625. Parking Solutions mission is to provide unsurpassed client- responsive parking service. PSI is devoted to creating a regional parking company focused on providing high quality services to clients at reasonable rates while ensuring high returns to its shareholders through experienced management and controlled, yet aggressive growth.

Mr. Shocket is an active member of Young Entrepreneur Organization and has served as one of the organizations most successful membership chairman during his tenure. He is also very active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters, United Way, Wexner Center for the Arts and the Columbus Museum of Art. He has served on a variety of Central Ohio boards including Columbus Jewish Foundation, Columbus Jewish Federation and Hillel.

While Aaron is focused on successfully steering his company through the next five years of strategic growth, he still has an eye on the future. His long-term goal is to apply the principals of people management utilized at PSI within multiple segments of business.

Tom Dishman, Chief Operating Officer

Tom comes to Parking Solutions with over ten years of Sales, Management and Client Relations experience. With his years as a District Manager while working for Towne Park in Orlando, Florida he was responsible for leading a parking services firm with over 300 employees that handled twelve major Miami hotels. His background for Client Relations also includes his experience as an International Account Executive for DHL Express in Columbus, Ohio. While at DHL he consistently ranked 2nd in Account Representatives in the Northeast Region.

Tom not only brings his extensive Client Relations skills to PSI he also has an impressive background in recruiting, training, sales and administrative relations at premier hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, JW Marriott and Mandarin Oriental. Tom is also a graduate of the Ritz Carlton Leadership School.

Jim Phelps, Regional Operations Manager

Jim is a graduate of Ashland University with a degree in Business Administration. He brings with him over 15 years of experience specializing in Business Management and Administration. Having worked as a General Manager for large companies such as Best Buy and Wal-Mart, Jim is a capable administrator and organized manager who can coordinate multiple functions and operations with full profit and loss responsibility.

Jim joined PSI in July of 2005 as Regional Operations Manager, overseeing PSI’s operations in Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Pittsburgh. Jim understands that in order to have the best company you need to have the best employees. Customer satisfaction begins with employee fulfillment and satisfaction. To meet this goal Jim consistently carries a winning, positive and spirited attitude, possessing the ability to positively motivate and inspire others.

Felicite McCoy, Human Resources Director

Felicite is an expert in all matters relating to Human Resources from the creation of HR policies, employee handbooks, HR documents, research, design and implement of benefit programs, recruiting for all level of associates to designing safety programs and a drug free workplace and performance appraisal programs – Felicite brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to each site in which we operate.

While working full-time Felicite graduated with honors from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio; she then went on to become an HR Director for AdOutlet.com just five short years later and has remained in a director position for over a decade.
